How to Publish a Scholarly Book – A Step by Step Guide from Routledge
This webinar, delivered in collaboration with Routledge and the BPS Foundations and Futures book series, will present a step by step guide to publishing your scholarly research as a book.
Publishing academic research in book format rather than a journal article means that ideas can be given more space and findings elaborated upon in greater depth.
- Explore the benefits of book publication.
- Discover the various considerations and requirements when writing a book proposal.
- Get an insight into the publishing process.
- Learn about publishing your book open access.
- Hear from our series editors, Prof. Kimberly Biddle and Prof. Donna Ford and Routledge Publisher, Paul Dukes.
We’ll also be introducing the Early Career Researcher Editor Mentoring initiative that’s in place for our BPS Foundations and Futures: New Directions and Global Perspectives book series.
Is this webinar for me?
The primary audience will be academics and researchers who are interested in shaping the future of the discipline and publishing their scholarly research in book format, either as an edited or authored book. This includes established scholars and early career researchers with an original idea for a book that fits within the BPS Foundations and Futures: New Directions and Global Perspectives book series. We will introduce the book series, talk about our editor mentoring initiative which seeks to pair senior scholars with junior researchers, and explain what is expected at proposal stage and during the review process and beyond.
