PM Modi Highlights Dharmendra Pradhan’s Write-up on Teachers in a Changing World

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday drew attention to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s insights on the evolving role of teachers in India’s education sector. In a recent write-up, ‘The Teacher in a Changing World,’ Pradhan has emphasised the significance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, stating that it is central to India’s journey towards self-reliance and development.

Pradhan described the NEP 2020 as a cornerstone in shaping India into a developed nation by 2047, aligning with PM Modi’s vision. The policy aims to transform the education system, making it more inclusive, flexible, and responsive to the needs of the 21st century.

Pradhan highlighted that teachers are quickly adapting to digital classrooms, artificial intelligence, and changing curricula, supported by platforms like PM eVidya, DIKSHA, and SWAYAM. These initiatives enable teachers to cater to diverse learning needs, fostering a more effective and engaging education system.

Pradhan also underscored the importance of critical thinking skills in shaping students’ futures, recognising these abilities as key drivers of their success. He proposed implementing Balvatika in schools to promote holistic development, backed by scientific findings on early brain development.
